Hi, I’m Angela — the cook, creator, and heart behind Kempton’s Kitchen.
At home, I’m a wife to a thoughtful, steady, and deeply supportive partner who’s been with me through life’s twists and turns — and mama to a bright, spirited little girl who keeps our days full of energy, questions, giggles, and messes. They’re my biggest cheerleaders, my taste-testers, and the heart behind everything I do in the kitchen. Our life isn’t always neat, but it’s full — full of love, noise, and second helpings.
Growing up, food was how my family came together — Sunday dinners, backyard cookouts, crowded kitchens filled with stories and second helpings. Cooking was never just about the food; it was about connection. It was the glue that held us close.
As I got older, that love for feeding people turned into something deeper. Cooking became my creative outlet and my safe space — a way to manage the hard days. It’s helped me cope with anxiety, navigate depression, and stay grounded through my journey in substance abuse recovery. There’s something healing about chopping vegetables, kneading dough, or building a meal from scratch — it brings me back to center every single time.
Kempton’s Kitchen is where I share the recipes that feed my family and soul. Some are rustic and nostalgic, others are playful and simple — but all are made with love and a whole lot of intention. Whether you’re here for comfort food, weeknight dinners, or just a little inspiration, I’m so glad you stopped by.
Pull up a chair & grab and apron — there’s always room in my kitchen.
